Tips to Tour Guide on Campus 360 Like a Pro

For Admission Officers and Student Live Tour Guides

· Campus Tour,Virtual Reality,Tips,Tour Guide

Want to make sure that the live virtual reality tour that you're leading next week goes perfect? Check out our top tips to show off your campus as smoothly as if you were trekking across campus physically (but without the backwards-walking)!

1. View

Like in student view, click and drag to display the 360° panorama, and use the laser pointer to highlight specific areas.

Students can drag to view the panorama on their own, but can click ‘View Align’ to re-align with your screen.

2. Navigate

Use the left-hand menu, or the small arrow bubbles on the ground, to navigate participants to different locations.

3. Stories

Click on the blue chat bubbles to display ‘Stories’.

Hover over the right or left edges of the popup box to skip forward or backward in the Story, and click the top right arrows to expand the box, or the bottom to exit out.

You can also view all the Stories in the carousel at the bottom of the screen.

Remind students to keep audio on!

4. Communicate

Monitor any questions or comments in the chat box, and view or remove students in the ‘Participants’ panel.

5. Time

Monitor time remaining in this tour session with the countdown in the top right corner.

And that's it — happy tour-guiding!
